J Dot Speed was an important part of me growing up. The persona helped me break further out of my shell. But, as 2010 neared an end and I went through several life-altering events (including college graduation and the birth of my first son in February 2011), it was time for a change. This song marked the end of the persona, as the next time people would hear from me musically, I had become Speed on the Beat.

All good things must come to an end.
