The final Speed on the Beat album is finally live on Bandcamp for $6. This album took a lot out of me, because I poured every ounce of my lo-fi-loving soul into it to give my career as Speed on the Beat a proper sendoff.

Here's a breakdown of where your hard-earned $6 will go:

50% of all proceeds of this album will go to artists featured on this album. So if you like True God, Score|Swayze, Blxck Shxggy or the production Benji Armstrong did on "Tired but Not Broken," they'll be properly compensated for their contributions on the album. So about 12.5% of each album sale (approximately 75 cents) will go to each artist--hence me saying "RUN MY SHIT THE FUCK UP ON BANDCAMP!"

30% of all proceeds will go to the Baltimore Action Legal Team (BALT) and the NAACP Legal Defense Fund (so about 15% of each sale or 90 cents will go to BALT and 90 cents will go to the NAACP LDF).

The last 20% (or $1.20) will go towards a college fund I'm creating for my kids. Music (both writing/producing it and writing about it) took a chunk of time away from me that I could've spent with them, so it's only right that I give back to them financially because of it.

In other words, I'm not seeing a cent from Bandcamp sales. I'm not doing this for me, that's never been my mission.
