about

To progress, one is allowed a step backwards to reflect. However, if one continues to abuse that step, their progress will be halted and their endeavors will be for naught.

For years, WMAR-TV was considered (sometimes unfairly) the "worst" Baltimore-based channel, especially for their news. However, in the 1990s, things began to turn around. People began to turn to Channel Two for news reports and the like. While WMAR is still not the Baltimore News Juggernaut that, for instance, WJZ is, they're still that plucky underdog who surprises you when you actually give them the time of day.

Sound familiar? If not, it should.

The subtitle of this interlude (read: the bridge between DOTK and this project), "No-Fi's True Death," refers to this being a track which was held off of 2014's Death of the King album since I wanted it to focus more on the mental health aspect of the story versus JUST being about "oh, Speed's not really doing no-fi anymore" narrative. Plus, as anyone who's ever seen Anna Paquin get it on with a vampire knows, the "true death" is one that is final and inescapable.

Like growing up and growing old.
