To My Brothers (The Breakthrough)

from Evolution by Speed on the Beat

/

about

Parts of this verse were used to make up the second verse of my song "Dreaming (The Breakthrough)" from Death of the King, hence the name. The story behind this one is simple. I was born out of wedlock to a married man and his sons, my half-brothers, hated me from birth.

Well, the feeling's mutual. But, instead of hatred, I'm going to get my revenge through being great.

The track is brutally honest and brutal on the ears for a reason. No, not just because of "hey, Speed no-fi'ed the fuck out of this." I wanted the world to feel my pain and my anger. There's a reason I say I'm an only child.

I forgive them...but I don't forget.
